Feritas Sanguis are twisted beastfolk, their original species warped by forbidden blood magic experiments. They appear as lean, muscular humanoids with bestial features—elongated claws, slit-pupiled eyes, and fur or scales stained permanently crimson. These creatures hunt in small packs, driven by an insatiable thirst for magical blood. They can sense magic-users from miles away and track them relentlessly. Feritas Sanguis attacks are brutal and precise, targeting the throat to consume magical essence directly. They're particularly dangerous to Taka and Ursa communities, as their heightened senses make them prime targets. The Magisterium classifies them as extermination targets, but Feritas Sanguis populations continue growing in wilderness regions beyond Aethelgard's walls.
