Description
Vena Vitae manifests as glowing, vein-like tendrils that emerge from corrupted magical sites. These parasitic entities attach themselves to living beings, particularly those with magical affinity. Victims initially feel energized as Vena Vitae feeds them excess magic—but the parasite slowly drains their life essence and replaces their natural magic with corrupted energy. As Vena Vitae grows, visible veins of bioluminescent blue spread across the victim's skin. Advanced infection causes victims to lose control and experience bouts of erratic behavior. Vena Vitae can be removed with specialized healing magic, but must be caught early. The Magisterium monitors infected individuals in isolation wards. These parasites thrive in magically charged environments, making magical workshops high-risk areas.
