THE ADVENTURER'S GUILD A transnational organization that facilitates dungeon delving, monster hunting, and exploration. Technically neutralโnot controlled by the Crown, though subject to its laws. AETHELGARD HALL: Located in Ring 5 (Merchant Ring), near the Merchant Gate. A sprawling complex of stone and timberโpractical rather than elegant. FUNCTIONS: โข Job board where contracts are posted โข Tavern where adventurers gather โข Training grounds for skill improvement โข Administrative offices for licensing and dispute mediation โข Medical ward for injured members RANKING SYSTEM: F โ E โ D โ C โ B โ A โ S Advancement requires completed contracts, skill demonstration, and Guild approval. WHY IT MATTERS: โข Provides legitimate cover for travel and action โข Access to information and resources โข Some protection from official scrutiny โข Network of contacts across professions โข One of the few paths for commoners to advance without noble patronage NEUTRALITY: The Guild's independence makes it valuable for those who need to operate outside normal channels. This neutrality is carefully maintainedโanyone who threatens it loses their membership.
